System Requirements

Your server must meet these requirements:

  • WordPress 5.0 or higher
  • PHP 7.2 or higher
  • PHP ZipArchive extension
  • Database connection with backup privileges
  • Write permissions on the WordPress root directory
  • Write permissions on the wp-content directory

The plugin will display status checks on the main page. If any check fails, contact your hosting provider.

Installation

Automatic Installation

  1. Go to Plugins > Add New
  2. Search for Backup Copilot
  3. Click Install Now
  4. Click Activate

Manual Installation

  1. Download the plugin using the button above
  2. Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin
  3. Choose the downloaded ZIP file
  4. Click Install Now
  5. Click Activate

After Activation

  1. Go to Backup Copilot in the WordPress admin menu
  2. Verify all system checks show [OK]
  3. Create your first backup!
